Lead Teacher

Our learning community is growing! We’re looking for a great educator and co-ordinator to join our friendly, vibrant team. You must have a passion for democratic learning and for being a learner yourself. Essential skills include:

Teaching Humanities to KS3 students, including Creative Writing, some History, English Literature and Language. Our teaching is topic-based and decided on by the students so we can guarantee that you will be teaching topics that you haven’t taught before! 

Co-ordinating the Curriculum and the Educator meetings. 

Pastoral Care.

Some online teaching.

Desirable skills: Facilitating Yoga and Mindfulness.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Creative, a good communicator and listener. A positive person with great energy and leadership who is calm and enthusiastic. Who has the ability to see the wider picture and an eagerness to participate fully in the life of a busy learning community. An ability to work well in a team, with good interpersonal skills, sensitivity and awareness of the needs of others. 

Starting salary of £30,000 per annum for 5 days/week during term time. The Contract is for one year with a view to reviewing and renewing this annually.

Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a T.A. to support a child in our Learning Community.

SEN experience is essential. A willingness to learn about democratic mindful education is welcomed as well as the ability to think outside the box.

The candidate will also work with other students in learning sessions and lunchtime duties.

Pay is £90 per day x 2 days a week. Mondays and Fridays, term time only.
