Times and days
Summer School will run from 9.30am until 3.30pm Mon-Fri. We will meet each morning on the road opposite The Hinchcliffe Arms in Cragg Vale at 9.30am prompt starting each day with a mindful walk up to the farm. On the first day Dale will help us take up all the ‘clobber’ in his van. Pick up is at 3:30pm in the same place.
What to bring?
Comfy and durable clothing and footwear – no open toe or backless shoes. The children will be walking up to the farm and back down again each day and will be spending time in the woods so please make sure everything is suitable for such an environment.
As we all know the weather is often changeable during our summers so we suggest that waterproofs and spare clothing be brought along on the first day. If we are super unfortunate weather-wise then waterproofs and wet clothing will be returned each day, but if luck is on our side, then all of the waterproof stuff can remain at the farm until/if needed and then returned on the child’s last day with us.
Sunhats and suncream.
A daily packed lunch. A healthy and substantial lunch and snacks.
Plenty of water.
Any relevant/essential medicine – such as an inhaler for a child with asthma (let us know details on the registration form).
