Learning Space for 5 & 6 year olds

Juniors- Our Learning Space for 5 to 7 yrs

Free We Learn

The focus for our group for juniors is on creating a warm, nurturing, and fun, group learning environment.

Children are welcome to join us from the September after their fifth birthday.

This group enables for the slow and mindful introduction of very young children to our community.

We are here to create a special space for children as they navigate the daunting task of making small, incremental steps towards childhood independence and autonomy.

We like to be flexible and work in collaboration with families to make sure we meet the specific needs of each child.

This group also helps establish a transition up to the middle group around the age of 7.

The group runs on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9:30am to 3:10pm.

Parents are asked wherever possible not to stay during sessions, however, we appreciate that some of the younger children may need the support of a care giver to settle in. With this in mind we are happy to discuss strategies and support plans as and when the circumstances warrant this.

Please contact Emma directly if you have any specific settling in requests or concerns – we will always approach such matters on an individual basis and are open to finding ways that work for each child so if there is anything above that doesn’t suit you/your child’s needs it is always worth getting in touch and explaining your situation.

Eligible for Working Tax Credit/Universal Credit childcare help or childcare vouchers.

For details about fees please visit our fees page.

Sessions are held in the Basement Yoga space at the Birchcliffe Centre and in the Nutclough Woods.
